  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, or rosemary)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until foamy (about 10 minutes).
  2. Add eggs, softened butter, flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.
  4. While rising, melt butter in a pan over medium heat; add garlic and cook for about 2 minutes. Stir in fresh herbs and set aside.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle; brush with the garlic herb mixture and sprinkle with mozzarella.
  6. Roll up tightly into a log shape; slice lengthwise and twist both halves together.
  7. Place in a greased baking pan and let rise for another 30–40 minutes.
  8. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Brush with egg wash and bake for approximately 35–40 minutes until golden brown.
