  • 1/2 cup cold butter (or vegan butter)
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup milk (any kind)

Instructions

  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles small peas.
  4. Stir in molasses and milk until just combined.
  5. Form dough into a circle about 3/4" thick on a cookie sheet.
  6. Brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
  7. Cut into wedges and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. (Optional) Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and maple syrup.
